Vancouver English Centre established a Resource Development Program in 1996. This enables us to develop books, tests, exercises and games that relate directly to our own sophisticated curricula. So far, our most significant achievement has been the creation of VEC Language Power ® textbooks. There is now one Language Power ® textbook for each of the first six levels. These books help teachers present our material to students in a systematic and efficient manner. Each Language Power ® book compliments our curriculum for a certain level. This ensures that no material is accidentally missed or repeated as students progress through the levels. The Resource Development Team is constantly improving our Language Power ® textbooks. Teachers and students who use the books are able to offer suggestions whenever they wish. Useful ideas can be implemented almost immediately. New words and idioms can be added to our textbooks as quickly as they are introduced to the English language. We print new books several times each year, so our students all enjoy fresh, recently improved textbooks. Language Power ® textbooks include relevant content that help students learn more about life in North America, as they improve their English language skills. additional charge for these books.
