Vancouver, Canada

Downtown Vancouver is on the edge of English Bay

In 1995, the Corporate Resources Group in Geneva, Switzerland, released a ranking of 118 major cities in the world based upon living and environmental conditions. The City of Vancouver won a silver medal as the second best city in the world.

For ESL students, Vancouver is ideal. The English spoken here is standard, proper, and easily understood around the world. The city is clean, safe and blessed with a year-round mild climate. It is also breathtakingly beautiful.

Nestled between the Pacific Ocean and lush coastal mountains, Vancouver is a recreational paradise.

Our city is just minutes from 8 beaches,3 ski mountains, and Stanley Park's 1000 acres of lush rainforest. Located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, VEC campus is surrounded by shops, malls, sports facilities, restaurants, and art galleries.

In the past three years Vancouver was voted one of the top ten "best destinations" in the world by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler magazine.

Why Vancouver?

"You've probably heard that we can ski within sight of downtown Vancouver and be on the water catching a spring salmon, all in the space of 30 minutes. It's true - as long as your skis have quick-release bindings. Otherwise, it might take up to 45 minutes."
