did you become an ESL teacher?
I love meeting people. Being an ESL teacher makes this
wish come true everyday.
How long have you been teaching English?
Since 1997.
How long have you been teaching English at VEC?
Since 2000.
Have you taught in foreign countries? How long? Which
country?
I taught English in the Sultanate of Oman for 4 years. Oman
is the second largest gulf state, after Saudi Arabia.
What was your major in university or college?
I have a Masters degree in History. My area of specialization
is History of Modern Europe and Asia.
What do you like best about teaching?
I feel like a mother and friend to so many people. I love
that.
What is your favourite topic to discuss with your
students in your class?
Cultural differences in the world, which makes our world beautiful.
What is your hobby?
Reading, listening to music, art and cooking.
What advice do you have for new students?
This is your best opportunity to learn and make friends. This
experience will open your mind and help you realize what a
huge and diverse world we live in. You will love it. Everyone
does. Many students come back again and again, just
