good to have an understanding of other people and cultures.

at VEC?
Since 2005.

Yes - 10 months in Mexico, 5 months in Korea.
What was your major in University?
Social Studies (History and Geography).
What do you like best about your job?
Helping students
and seeing when students understand something they didn't
expect to.
What is your favourite topic to discuss with students?
I enjoy talking to students about their careers and schooling.
What
is your hobby?
I enjoy square dancing, walking, and listening music.
What advice do you have for new students?
Don't
put too much pressure on yourself on how quickly you learn
English. Everyone learns differently. Enjoy visiting Vancouver,
seeing the sights, taking classes, participating in activities,
meeting students from around the world and people from Canada.
Once you are relaxed and comfortable about your surroundings
and the people, it is easier to learn and comprehend a new
language.
