Why did you become an ESL teacher?
I guess it was a calling! Everything happens for a reason!
How long have you been teaching English?
Since 1999.
How long have you been teaching English at VEC?
Since 2001.
Have you taught in foreign countries? How long? Which
country?
Singapore (about 2 years).
What was your major in university or college?
B. A. Arts, TESL .
What do you like best about teaching?
I love teaching because it's inspiring to see how students
gain their confidence. It's very fulfilling to help them on
a personal level.
What is your favourite topic to discuss with students
in your class?
Talking about food, cultural differences and practices.
What is your hobby?
Camping, painting, photography, listening to music and reading.
What
advice do you have for new students?
Read, read, read! Read tons of books! They'll help you
in your vocabulary, sentence structure and tenses. Use your
English outside of class. Class time is NEVER enough!
