Business Internship Course Content
Interns receive approximately 29 hours per week of classroom instruction.
The Business Internship (BINT) morning and afternoon classes are mandatory for all internship students. BINT am involves interview and telephone
techniques, business meetings and negotiating. BINT pm focuses on North American business culture, on-the-job communication skills and business
writing. In both classes, emphasis is placed on helping students improve their English communication skills.
Business Program Electives
New Economy Industries
Discussion topics include: Tourism, Film and TV, and Information Technology
Public Speaking
Students learn how to organize and deliver speeches and presentations
International Trade and Economy
Discussion topics include: International Economy, Import/Export, Stock
Market Investments
Marketing/Entrepreneurship
Discussion topics include: Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Finance/Accounting
Internship students are not restricted to Business electives. Interns
may register in regular program electives, such as Pronunciation, Writing,
Grammar, TOEFL and TOEIC.
Business Internship
Our Business Internship Coordinators carefully arrange job placements
that are directly related to the career interests of our students.
After an initial interview, interns are given information about the sponsor
company and begin working as volunteer professionals during regular business
hours. Progress Reports are maintained, and interns are given opportunities
to share experiences with other students.
