ENROLLMENT
CHANGES ON SITE
Generally, it is not advisable
to make any changes in your pre-approved courses. If you must
though, you should immediately contact the faculty member who signed
your approval form. You should receive permission from your faculty
member before you change your course.
GETTING A TRANSCRIPT
You will need transcripts indicating
the courses you took and a written evaluation of your work, in order
to receive credit for your program. Some institutions have
specific requirements regarding grades, hours and attendance.
You should learn these things before you leave. Vancouver
English Centre does not issue transcripts unless they are requested,
so please be sure to notify us at least one week before your program
ends.
POST-APPROVAL
Occasionally, you will need
to ask for post-approval for your courses. This is sometimes a requirement
for students who have taken courses under the rubric of departments
which do not grant credit until they have examined course descriptions
and the actual work done in classes overseas. Post-approval
is also sometimes a requirement for concentration credit.
In most cases, post-approval requires evidence of work such as notes,
papers, portfolios, and exams. Under any circumstances, it
is important to preserve records of all courses taken overseas.
These are sometimes required at a later date, even if the courses
have been pre-approved.
